Beginner Band
Do you or someone you know, want to learn how to play music?
We’ve got just the thing for you!
At FNB we have a dedicated beginner band, which is designed for absolute beginners – whether you are 7, 70 or somewhere in between! Our beginner band teaches music with brass instruments. We pair you up with an instrument that suits you the best, and begin teaching you how to read music and play.
Supportive small group environment and 1:1 tutoring.
For many people the cost associated with music is a barrier, with instruments often costing thousands of dollars. We have a hire system in place, so if you wish to learn to play we can supply you with an instrument for a very low hire fee. Alternatively, if you have your own instrument you are more than welcome to use it!

Academy
Our academy group is for those players who already have experience playing brass instruments. Whether you are returning from an absence of playing, or feel you could improve on the basics, our academy is our next level from the beginner band. This is a small group ensemble that works on technique as well as general band playing, from hymns to short tunes and technical excercises.
