Welcome to our first newsletter for 2024. While this is a tad late in the year to be our first, we are starting straight after our recent AGM.
We are aiming to publish a newsletter each month, ideally short and sharp and with any pertinent information about our upcoming events, progress of the band, and even member highlights! If you wish to receive these via email, please use the above form to register.
2024-2025 Committee
On Monday the 26th of August we held our AGM. Many of the previous committee members have continued in their positions. We look forward to another year of growth.

Recent Events
'Just Brassin' About' Concert
On the 21st July we held our inaugural 'Just Brassin' About' Concert. Held at the Junior Eisteddfod Hall in Cairns, we were excited to be able to present our latest music - a variety of songs to appeal to everyone. While we have performed at various places in the last 12 months, this was the first time we were able to get our teeth stuck into a full-length performance.
We have to thank the Junior Eisteddfod Hall and Committee to allow us to use their wonderful hall. It was a brilliant venue and we hope to repeat our performances regularly.
Our next concert is scheduled for the 1st of December - we look forward to seeing everyone there.
The Tanks Markets
Looking to increase our performances we have begun playing regularly at the Tanks Markets. This has been a very fun gig, with many of us really enjoying the interaction with our audience. Thank you to everyone who has donated their time and money.
We were lucky enough to have a slot at the Collin's Street Markets on Father's Day. Despite being hot and cramped, it was great for the band to have a full compliment.
We will be at the tanks regularly over the next few months, with our next gig on the 29th of September.
